Jazz Academy at Solebury School

Cool jazz and a collegial atmosphere are the order of the day when master musicians tutor high school students at the Jazz Academy at Solebury School. Last year, master classes were taught by such notables as author/musician James McBride, Lenny Kravitz, pianist George Laks, trombonist Brent White and guest musicians from the prestigious Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Students from around the Delaware Valley, including the Creative Arts High School in Camden and the Foundation Academy in Trenton, benefit from the master classes, college planning sessions, audition tape preparation, and a final concert to raise money for the non-profit Little Kids Rock.
